She has taught music and poetry though Element, Teachers & Writers Collaborative, Youth Speaks, Auckland University, and other learning institutions. She spent one summer teaching guitar lessons in an acacia tree in Zulu Nation to Zulu youth; it was one of the most memorable experiences of her life. Ish has recorded two CDs, Work is Love & Luminous, and has just completed her newest project, Homegrown, an album of songs recorded in Hawai’i & Zulu Nation, South Africa. She is currently sponsored by Element Skateboards and is an Eden Advocate. The New York Times wrote, “Ms. Park has an angelic face and the soul of a rock star.” She is excited to teach guitar, ukulele, piano, and voice lessons at Kailua Music School.
