Adding to the musical talent of the islands is Clarinetist Adrienne Garneau. She attended Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan for high school where she majored in classical clarinet studying with Richard Hawkins. She was then accepted to the prestigious Manhattan School of Music under the tutelage of Ricardo Morales and received her Bachelors of Music degree in Clarinet Performance. To further her passion of music and her love of the clarinet she then attended Mannes College of Music (extension of New School University). Studying with David Krakauer she received her Masters of Music in Clarinet Performance. Adrienne has performed in New York, has taught lessons at Julliard and Mannes Prepatory Programs. Her musical talents and passion for teaching presented an opportunity to live in Melbourne, Australia where she was part of the Clarinet and Saxophone Society of Victoria, performed chamber music with local taletns, and held the position of band director at Blackburn Primary School. Circling the globe, she has found a new home in the islands and can be seen playing with the Royal Hawaiian band.
