Kailua Music School offers lessons for percussion instruments including : drumset, orchestral snare drum, latin percussion ( congas, bongos and timbales ) as well as electronic percussion. Styles taught include but are not limited to : Rock, Funk, Hip Hop, Jazz, Reggae and World Music. Topics covered include : Improvisation, reading, song interpretation, hand technique, foot technique and playing with a click track. Over 35 years of experience including Big Band Jazz, bebop, Jazz Fusion, Musicals, Hard Rock, Classic Rock, Orchestral, Funk, R&B, Hip Hop, Reggae, Island Contemporary and World Music. Scott’s has been teaching professionally for over 20 years.
