Kailua Music School offers lessons for percussion instruments including : drumset, orchestral snare drum, latin percussion ( congas, bongos and timbales ) as well as electronic percussion. Styles taught include but are not limited to : Rock, Funk, Hip Hop, Jazz, Reggae and World Music. Topics covered include : Improvisation, reading, song interpretation, hand technique, foot technique and playing with a click track.   • Jesse Morgan

    Rate: $160 per month
    Jesse Morgan has been playing drums for over 40 years experienced in Rock, Funk, Shuffles, R&B and Blues drumming styles.
    Jesse performed with Ginai, Bobby Thursby & Night Train, JP Smoketrain and the rock group Paradise XS. Before moving to Hawaii, from St. Louis MO, he was drummer for local phenom “BIG FUN” who held the house band position for the premier showcase club “Mississippi Night”

Mark Kreuzer

Mark Kreuzer is an accomplished drummer from Nashville, Tennessee with over 30 years of experience in live performances, touring internationally, as well as studio work. Mark has studied under both, world renowned drummer Charlie Adams (drummer for Grammy nominated artist Yanni) in Nashville, as well as with modern drumming phenom and Youtube sensation Thomas Pridgeon (Mars Volta) in California. Mark has an extensive resume working with many great artists, such as Jim Horn (Rolling Stones saxophonist), Dennis Matkoski (Grammy Award winning Nashville songwriter), Sparrow Records recording artists Chasing Furies and Luna Halo, and Kings of Leon, to name a few. Mark has also been noted for his unique ability to be the lead singer (while playing drums) in his latest group JankTones. Mark has been teaching drums for over 15 years and is passionate about helping his students find their inner drummer, as well as developing their own style.
