  • Lesley Kline

    Rate: $35/Half Hour
    Lesley Kline attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston and the Conservatoire de Champigny-sur-Marne, outside of Paris. Although classically trained, she has been a professional fiddle player for over 20 years. She was based in Paris for 12 years touring throughout Europe and is now actively performing in Hawaii. Her styles of fiddle playing include bluegrass, country, Irish, Mexican, cajun, western swing, jazz, blues, rock and free-style improvisation.

    Rate: $45/Half Hour, $90/Hour
    Erin Smith is a singer, guitarist, violinist, and a fashion and music writer for the Honolulu Star Advertiser
    Currently Erin’s Schedule is close to being full and there may be wait times for openings. Please contact the school, Erin would be happy to speak with you. There are also group classes that have space available.
  • Jan Shima

    Rate: $38 for half hour class (includes tax)
    Jan worked as an entertainer in California, Japan, and Hawaii and toured internationally. She performed with many bands including SaFire, Navatek Cruise Band, Jubilation, NewDay, and New Hope Christian Fellowship Vocal team. Along with extensive studio work for others Jan’s recordings include 3 CD’s nominated for Na HokuHanoHano Awards and 3 nominations for Hawaii Music Awards. Her latest CD “Light to Soar” was written, arranged produced, designed, and recorded by Jan. A fusion of Jazz and World styles it was inspired by the wild beauty of the National Parks. “Who is to Come” was written, produced, vocal arrangements, and cover design by Jan. It was one of the top Gospel CD’s in Hawaii, receiving national airplay. “PowerPraiseHawaii” written by Orlando Tumacder, was produced, arranged, and cover design by Jan. She worked with OnTheRock Recording Studio as Producer, Arranger, Vocalist, and currently produces music for songwriters and students at her studio. Instruments are Vocals, Violin, Guitar, Piano, Ukulele. She taught Music workshops in Japan, Taiwan, S.Africa, Hawaii, and currently teaches at Kailua Music School. As a popular radio personality with KAIM 95.5FM, she hosted programs including Voice of the Islands, Youth Alive, and Saturday Nights. Educated in music and dance since age 6, she has a BFA from the University of Michigan, and is currently studying Writing & Producing at Berklee College of Music.
