Piano – Ukulele – Guitar

Veteran Music instructor Holly Rudin-Braschi, author of Holly’s Ukulele Method™, offers musical fun at Kailua School of Music. Holly teaches private and group ukulele, guitar and piano lessons to students ages 5 through adult. Known for the enthusiasm, sense of humor and positive energy that she brings to her teaching, Holly has taken the mystery out of reading music for hundreds of students that she has taught privately and through group lessons at Santa Rosa Junior College (Santa Rosa, CA), Petaluma School of Music, her home studio and, master classes throughout the US at venues like the Lark in the Morning Music Camp in Mendocino, CA.

Music Education: Holly holds a B.A. in musicology and languages from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York and a Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music in New York City.

Holly began her music studies with guitar at age seven and voice at age thirteen. Early in her career, she received scholarships for three consecutive years at the Tanglewood Festival of the Arts in Lenox, MA where she studied with celebrated soprano Phyllis Curtin and sang in the Tanglewood Festival Chorus under the baton of Seigi Ozawa, Michael Tilson Thomas, Leonard Bernstein, and many other renowned conductors. Other scholarships include study with Tito Gobbi (a contemporary of Maria Callas) in Florence, Italy, and apprenticeships at the Colorado Opera Festival, in Colorado Springs, CO and the Banff Festival of the Arts in Banff, Canada. She also holds a German certification from Middlebury College in Vermont and speaks Italian, French, as well as basic Norwegian and Greek.
