Tatiana has a PhD in Music Theory and Composition from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master’s in Composition and Theory from Carnegie-Mellon University and she is certified in two children’s teaching methods, Suzuki and Kindermusik. During her high school years, she won “The 1981 October Prize in Composition” for the city of Belgrade. Some of her best compositions have been performed at some of the most famous stages in the world. Her piece for chamber orchestra, was performed at the Fulton Theatre in Pittsburgh her symphonic piece was performed by the Carnegie-Mellon University Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. Tatiana has been teaching music at various schools, colleges, and universities (piano, composition and theory, basic musicianship, harmony, counterpoint, piano ensemble, orchestration, improvisation, notation, voice, and many other subjects) for over 20 years. She taught at Carnegie-Mellon University, the University of Pittsburgh, Chatham College, Community College of Allegheny County, New Mexico Highlands University where she founded and led the composition program, Bermuda Conservatory of Music, and Bermuda School for the Performing Arts. Since 1991, she has also been exploring the sound of pop, new age and rock. She was involved as a singer, keyboardist and songwriter, performing with various bands in the Pittsburgh area. Her compositions have been influenced by many styles: new-age, pop, progressive rock andclassical (especially impressionism). Many of her pieces and songs were performed internationally and she has composed, recorded and produced five CD’s through Core-Age Records.
